Sea School day 5- the end

Our mosaic

Today was Friday, so we got to ride in the car. We went to Jerry’s, which is a grocery store. It’s like Kroger, but smaller and with a restaurant that serves awesome breakfast. They have wonderful pancakes and cinnamon French toast. Then I got to sea school, and we almost immediately got into our surf groups. I am on the Pink Tsunamis. (Whoosh, puts hand in water and swirls around) We were having a surf race, so everybody was serious. We were going to win this. Yes, Maddie, I was on the pink team, so do your little ha-ha-Zada’s-on-the-pink-team-tee-hee-hee. Look, I didn’t pick team colors. And the only reason I consented to wear pink face paint and not wear black or red or orange was because I don’t like supporting other teams that we were going to hopefully demolish. We were disappointed when we tied for first place, but then we had the tie breaker. Now we were determined that the Black-Tipped Dolphins would NOT beat us. We were not disappointed this time. Ecstatically, we jumped around in the water, and then I cut my foot open. Then we went back for lunch. After patching up my foot, and lunch, we went to another beach and played Capture the Fish for a while. We then proceeded to go to the Community Center for milk, cookies, and a slideshow. Our mosaic was also awesome. It was half blue, half red, and it showed two dolphins, and they were homoeothermic. We grabbed our beanbag fish and my parents and I went to the Island Cow. I got macaroni and cheese. Then we got the Tan Turtle, a huge cup with an even huger head of whipped cream. I had to give up.

The Tan Turtle

Adios.

What a stellar week it sounds like you had!! If you ever want to canoe, yours truly is an expert... Was captain of the all-hallowed war canoe team back at camp when I was in high school. Oh, I've also been sucked underwater by a riptide and had my face dragged along the shell encrusted bottom of the sea floor once in Galveston too. Ripped my favorite ray-ban sunglasses off my head to boot; I guess Posidon decided he had to have them and opted to take them by force. Jerk. Anyway, I'm thrilled Sea Camp was a great time, and I look forward to your next summer installments!!
