Nassau- The Birthplace of Bahamian Postcards

When we got to Nassau, I couldn't believe it. It was the exact opposite of Freeport- warm, sunny, with fish swimming in the port. We didn't have to wait to get to our bus, and we got in immediately. While waiting for the boat, we cruised the shop. I saw a shirt that I wanted. It had a shark on it. Then the boat was ready to leave. Our first site was famous. It has a prop from one of the ''Jaws''movie. The prop was a sunken plane. We saw many fish through the CLEAR and WARM water with the ALIVE reef. After that site, we visited a site with lots of other fish. The snorkel gear was much better, so I could actually snorkel. The last site was the site I had been most afraid of-the shark site. After much hmming and hawing, I decided to get in. The sharks were about 25 feet down. I saw 3 of them. Then they brought the bait box up, and I saw one of the things I'd always wanted to see-the dorsal fin of a shark sticking out of the water. ( we were out of the water when they brought the box up.) The last thing we saw before moving too far away was a boat full of shocked people, staring at about 15 ominous gray shapes in the water.

Jaws props!! Awesome! Shark fins! More awesome! What an amazing trip! No wonder you aren't super excited about going back to school on Tuesday! I have been wanting to cut my hair for a while now but I couldn't because then my hair wouldn't go up in a bun for my ballet classes. But when the last ballet class was over on Wednesday I finally got my hair cut. I decided to donate my hair to Locks of Love. They make wigs for children who have lost their hair due to illness. July 22, 2008 We got into a moving gondola and were lifted off the ground and saw sheep and a luge ride tracks and trees and everything else you can imagine that would be on a mountain. When we got to the top I made a delicious mess of a popsicle/ice cream. Then me and my dad got on a ski-lift, helmets on, one pair of eyes closed. You can guess who that was, right? Correct! Me! We (me and my dad) got our instructions and were off. Before the first bend, I ran into the gravel and the lady had to run over and help me out. After that, the rest went pretty smoothly. After that, we went to Puzzling world. Am I holding up this building? We (again me and my dad) went into the maze and then into the illusion room with a golf ball that ran up, a room where I shrank, and staring dead people. Finally, a few minutes to use the computer!

July 4, 2008 Last night, we went to bed early, but my parents woke me up at 11:00 PM! We drove to Dallas in the rental car, known as the “dork mobile”. (My family called our rental car that.) We hated that giant, maroon, Californian car. Anyways, I got SO tired that I fell asleep on the duffle bag. If you want MY advice, never fall asleep on a duffle bag, especially if it is filled with hiking boots. If you want to be comfortable, that’s good advice. When we got to Dallas, we returned the Dork Mobile and went to the airport to get on the plane “United”. That flight was VERY exciting! First, there was a mechanical issue, then there was a medical issue and the plane was like a bouncy, covered roller coaster, meaning lots of turbulence. The views were incredible!
